We believe that everything beautiful is born from love. For Zikki, that source was Kiki, a graceful and mischievous iggy who became a true companion for walks and adventures, and the muse behind the brand.
Iggys need special care and attention, so finding clothing for Kiki quickly turned into a real art of balance: the aesthete in us wanted style, while Kiki, a true Italian Greyhound, won't tolerate discomfort. We tried a lot of different things: every option had its upsides, but problems kept coming up too, so we decided to rethink everything from scratch. That's how our approach was born: slow fashion and smart premium, a thoughtfully made premium piece instead of mass production.
Every sex has its own needs, so Zikki's fit is always adapted separately for boys and girls, and every design is tested across the full size range, on different iggys.
Early on, this idea was supported by Andrea and her iggy Zito, a velvet-black beauty (now our Black Prince pin). That's when a real connection was born, between people, and between our iggys. And something beautiful is always born from true friendship and connection, that's how our first collection came to be.
That's also where the brand name comes from: Zikki. Zi, from Zito, and Ki, from Kiki, a symbol of the friendship, love, and connection that started it all.
Production didn't come together on the first try either: we tried many different options before fate brought us to Ilona, a talented seamstress from Ukraine who had already made a sweatshirt for Kiki. A design born in Switzerland, made to European standards in Ukraine, a combination we're proud of.
That's why every order comes with a signature Zikki Tribe pin. We want to give more than just clothing: a memory, an emotion, a small symbol of a moment you can collect and share.
